Privacy information
A practical explanation of the information used to run Platea and the product controls available to you.
What this covers
Platea helps teams turn research into evidence-linked creative briefs. This page covers the web application, the Ad Angle Finder, workspaces, and voice interviews.
Information used in the product
Workspace information can include account and workspace details, research you add, generated findings, personas, interview transcripts, insights, creative briefs, exports, and usage records. The Ad Angle Finder can receive a public URL or text you paste, along with limited technical data used to protect its shared capacity.
How processing works
- Clerk manages sign-in, verified account details, and sessions where Clerk authentication is enabled.
- Convex stores application accounts, workspace records, research, and generated work. Convex Auth manages passwords and sessions while legacy sign-in is enabled.
- Resend delivers verification and password-recovery codes when account email delivery is enabled. Delivery protection stores keyed recipient hashes for seven days; it does not store the email message or code in the delivery log.
- Firecrawl reads public pages you submit for URL-based research and Finder previews.
- OpenAI processes selected research text, reviews, and conversations to generate research and creative output.
- ElevenLabs powers voice interviews when you start one.
- Polar handles hosted checkout and payment details for paid plans.
- Vercel hosts the web application.
Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment card details, or other information you do not need for your research workflow.
Your workspace controls
You can export your workspace data from Settings. You can also delete a brand workspace. Deletion schedules removal of that brand’s stored research and related workspace records from the application; it does not control a provider’s separate retention practices or records needed for billing, security, or operation.
Finder previews expire after seven days. Research saved to a workspace stays there until you remove the brand workspace that contains it.
Operational errors
Sanitized error reports contain a product area, error category, optional technical digest, and timestamps. They exclude research text, passwords, and raw error messages. A signed hash is used to limit reports without storing the original network address. Reports are scheduled for removal after 30 days.
Generated output
Personas, interview responses, findings, and creative concepts are generated hypotheses. They are not real customer testimony, a performance prediction, or a substitute for validating claims with real customers and appropriate evidence.
